Nayara Bocas del Toro

Nayara Bocas del Toro: Unrivaled Casual Elegance - Our goal is to have every guest who visits Nayara Bocas del Toro feel appreciated, at home, and have one of the best experiences of their lifetime.

Caribbean Sea Private Island Location

Nayara Bocas del Toro was created to be the western world’s ultimate boutique luxury vacation destination. You no longer need to travel to Bora Bora, Tahiti, or the Maldives to experience an exotic private island vacation with over the water villas on stilts. It is as simple as a three-hour direct flight from Miami to Panama City Panama, a one-hour regional flight to Bocas Del Toro, and a fifteen-minute boat ride to Nayara Bocas del Toro.

Spectacular Property

Frangipani Island has nine acres of dry land, over eighty acres of mangrove, and 3.1 miles of shoreline which is perfect for kayaking. Crafted in Bali, Indonesia, our custom overwater villas and 100-year-old Elephant House restaurant were shipped halfway around the world. We selected this resort style because of our adoration for Balinese architecture, interior design, and beautiful wood and stone carvings. Our clubhouse, nicknamed the Colonnade, is the center of activity at Nayara Bocas del Toro and includes The Coral Café, an enticing 70-foot freshwater pool, gym, and spa.

Charming Bocas Town Only 15 Minutes Away

Nayara Bocas del Toro is the only over water resort in the world that has a lively island town within sight and a short boat ride away. Bocas Town is the hub of activity in a cluster of islands where “cars” are colorful panga boats and “roads” are the waterways between islands. Think of Key West in the 1960s, Bocas Town has over sixty bars and restaurants and more bicycles than cars.

Invironmentally sustainable

We built Nayara Bocas del Toro entire infrastructure with local Panamanian labor. In fact, we employed more than 60 Panamanian workers throughout 2019. Nayara Bocas del Toro is 100% off the grid. We use solar energy, purified rainwater, and an eco-friendly wastewater treatment system engineered specifically for a mangrove island. We have conducted two environmental studies to ensure we are being kind to the mangrove and caring for its crystal-clear waters. We also constructed and placed our overwater buildings in specific areas to avoid interfering with the coral surrounding our private island.

Kupu-Kupu Beach - THE WORLD’S FIRST OVER-THE-WATER BEACH ON STILTS

 Elevate Your Beach Experience

Kupu-Kupu Beach (the name comes from the Indonesian word for butterfly) clocks in at approximately 90 feet long and 20 feet wide. It features velvety white sand and lush palm trees all around.

Here you’ll find a 10-foot-wide wooden boardwalk, which acts as a natural extension of the island, along with stunning green quartz-tiled stairs that will take you down from the elevated beach to the crystalline waters below. Once in the water, you can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, or a refreshing dip before heading back to your private oasis.

The Tipsy Bar

While you relax in style on Kupu-Kupu’s plentiful lounge chairs, grab a drink at Tipsy Bar, the beach’s idyllic watering hole with a wood shake roof that also serves light bites, beachside.

Originally opened in 2021, the all-inclusive, adults-only Bocas Bali property has 16 over-water villas on a private island in the Bocas del Toro area, off the Caribbean coast. Fringed by approximately three miles of coral reefs, the property is known for its fully solar-powered, off-the-grid accommodations and its commitment to protecting the coral reefs and mangroves.

The 16 over-water villas enable guests to snorkel, paddle-board or kayak directly from their rooms. Some villas offer glass floor panels for viewing underwater marine life, while others have saltwater pools and steps leading to the sea. In fall 2022, the property will unveil its first Treehouse. There are plans to add several more later this year and the next, with some "floating" 40 feet above ground.

The Balinese-inspired Elephant House restaurant sits on stilts over the Caribbean Sea; and the poolside Coral Café offers an al fresco setting for a casual breakfast, lunch or snacks. Both restaurant bars serve handcrafted cocktails; The Tipsy Bar on Kupu-Kupu Beach is ideal for sipping on a tropical cocktail.

Activities include snorkeling, paddle boarding, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking through the mangroves and spotting dolphins in the bay. Off property, guests can take a seaplane to Isla Escudo de Veraguas, a remote island known for its three-toed pygmy sloths. Other excursions include visiting indigenous chocolate farms and a visit to Monkey Island.

Bocas Bali uses solar energy, purified rainwater and an eco-friendly wastewater treatment system engineered specifically for a mangrove island. Five environmental studies were conducted to ensure the property posed no risk to the habitat’s mangroves and crystal-clear waters. The over-water buildings were specifically placed to mitigate any interference with the surrounding coral reefs.

Rates are inclusive of unlimited dining at The Elephant House restaurant; breakfast, lunch and snacks at The Coral Café; villa fridges stocked with drinks and snacks; unlimited liquors and wines; paddle boarding; kayaking; snorkeling gear; gym access; a boat transfer from Bocas Town to Bocas Bali (and back); free Wi-Fi in rooms and common areas; concierge service; and room service.
